Home/Reporting & Free Assessment

Know which marketing actually sells cars.

Most dealers can tell you what they spend. Fewer can tell you what each lead source produces. We start with a free assessment of where your leads come from, then report every month on what your marketing is doing.

A short call and a free review of your current lead sources. No obligation.

Example report layout. Sold data comes from your CRM.

What we can measure

Some numbers come straight from the ad platforms and your site. Others need data from your CRM or your sales records, and we only report those when you share them.

Questions dealers ask

The questions we hear most.

How do we audit our dealership's marketing budget?

List every place you spend money, including third-party sites, ad platforms, and agency fees. Next to each one, write the leads and sold units it produced last quarter. Wherever you can't fill in the sold column, that's your first gap. Our free assessment walks through this with you and gives you a plain-English summary of what we find.

How do we know if our marketing agency is performing?

Ask for appointments, shows, and sold units by source, not just impressions and clicks. Check that campaigns run in your own ad accounts so you can see the spend yourself, and that the creative and offers actually change from month to month. See how to choose a dealer marketing agency for the questions worth asking.

What is a good cost per sold vehicle?

It depends on your gross per deal, your market, and whether it's new or used, so the real test is whether the cost per sold still leaves profit on the deal. Compare it across your own sources instead of against someone else's number: a source that sells cars for less deserves more of the budget. The math is walked through in Are third-party leads worth it?

How do we calculate advertising ROI?

Take the gross profit from vehicles sold to shoppers from one source, subtract what that source cost, and divide by the cost. For example, a source that cost $5,000 and produced $15,000 in gross returned $2 for every $1 spent. The hard part is knowing which sales came from which source, which is why every lead we deliver is tagged with its source.

How do we track a lead from Facebook to a vehicle sale?

Tag every lead with its campaign and ad, deliver it into your CRM with the source attached, and make sure your team doesn't overwrite the source when they log the deal. At month end, match sold deals back to their lead source. Phone calls and walk-ins are harder to tie back, so treat those numbers as a minimum, not an exact count.

Can you connect marketing results to our dealership CRM?

Leads we generate are delivered into your CRM in ADF format, tagged with their source. For appointment, show, and sold reporting, we work from CRM reports or an export you share, and we only report those numbers when we have that data. The free assessment doesn't require CRM access.

Is the assessment really free?

Yes. The initial marketing and lead source assessment is free, with no obligation. A more detailed attribution and CRM analysis is quoted separately if you want one.

What does a monthly report include?

Ad spend, leads, cost per lead, and leads by campaign, plus appointments, shows, and sold units when that data is shared. Then a short review of what to change.
